I'm a terribly proud mother. My daughter is 26, and a newlywed. She works for a State Farm and is attending Citrus College. My son is 23, a student at Long Beach State, with a 3.8 GPA in the field of Kinesiology. He also played Division I football up north, until forced to quit due to exercise induced asthma. My husband recently retired from the Department of Justice and now has a private investigator business. I work full time for the Pasadena Water and Power Department.

Mike and his childhood friend, Garrett, started "Sad Story" (below) several years ago. I cannot begin to describe their music other than to say there is much screaming, the kids on the floor mosh, and we wear industrial strength ear plugs whenever we attend one of their shows. I'm not sure who screams more--the band or the crowd.

Not pictured is my mother, Josie, who at age 73 is a Commissioner for the Aged for the City of Monterey Park. She is very active with Langley Center, where she volunteers at the travel desk. She is often chosen to take busloads of seniors on various tours. She is the vice president of Club Amistad, and she has been a Eucharistic Minister at Miraculous Medal for nearly 20 years. Go mom!
