In loving memory

My beautiful Congo African Grey, Sinbad, died in my hands at the emergency room at 9 a.m. on September 29, 2001. Sinbad was
an incredibly smart, loveable and energetic parrot with an enormous vocabulary. She spoke perfectly in several different voices.
Her favorite voice was that of my husband. She would have been five years old on February 1, 2002. PDD snatched her from me
in the blink of an eye. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Here I am getting a snuggle from Sinbad shortly
before her death.

I added the below patchwork on first the anniversary of Sinbads death, September 29, 2001. The quilt can be seen soon at
Avian Health Network's (AHN) website. AHN is administering the former "Grey PoopOn Challenge". It is a real testament
to the power of the individual to make a difference, and to the avian community, who have rallied to advance research that
will end this devastating disease. Visit AHN using the below link.
